Origin: Jungpana Estate, Darjeeling Region, India
Description: Tucked against the side of a mountain, accessible only by foot via hundreds of stairs, Jungpana Estate is a rare gem in the Darjeeling tradition. Its remote location and unique geography are both evident in the teas produced at this estate.
Tasting Notes: The scent of this vintage cup of Darjeeling tea carries a complex musk of weathered wood and warm grain. The tea has a clear brassy astringency which builds on the mid-tongue. The bite of classic Darjeeling bitterness from the tannins lingers pleasantly. The flavour is akin to malted tobacco with hints of maple sap.
Brewing Instructions: 2g per cup. 100ºC water. steep 3-5 minutes.
