Description: In 2010, we developed a line of 12 Chinese Zodiac teas (four black, four green and four herbal blends), integrating the characteristics of each animal into our original recipes. As with all of our tea blends, these were made using organic loose leaf imported teas, organic flowers and organic herbs and spices. Our Chinese Zodiac Teas were inspired by China’s rich tea history, and the nature of each of the twelve animals in ancient folklore. Each tea and tisane is unique, delicious, and a playful tea-focused way to celebrate and learn about tea and cultural traditions from the place where this amazing beverage was born.

Standard Tin Set

This set contains 12 standard tins of our Zodiac Teas. Each Standard Tin contains between 50 - 150 grams of loose tea, depending on the density and weight of the ingredients. For most of our teas and tisanes, we suggest 2g of loose tea / cup of water, so a large tin will get you around 25 - 75 cups of tea.

Small Tin Set

This set contains 12 small tins of our Zodiac Teas. Each small tin contains between 10 - 25 grams of loose tea (or approximately 1/4 cup). For most of our teas and tisanes, we suggest 2g of loose tea / cup of water, so a small tin will get you around 5 - 20 cups of tea (or a generous pot or two of tea to share) depending on the weight and density of the contents.

Trial Pouch Set

This set contains 12 trial pouches of our Zodiac Teas. Each pouch contains between 10 - 18 grams of loose tea (or approximately 1/4 cup). For most of our teas and tisanes, we suggest 2g of loose tea / cup of water, so a trial pouch will get you around 5 - 8 cups of tea (or a generous pot or two of tea to share). The perfect amount of tea to experiment with!

We invite you to experience our very unique twelve artisan-blended, loose leaf teas inspired by the twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac – Rat, Pig, Horse, Goat, Rooster, Ox, Snake, Monkey, Tiger, Dog, Rabbit, Dragon.

We crafted the line of teas so that there would be something for every palate. The final result is four black teas, four green teas and four herbal infusions each conforming to some degree to the characteristics of the animal they represent.

The organic teas we import are artisanally farmed and crafted. They may change with each harvest season. The same tea harvested at a different time of year and processed by a different tea maker will vary slightly in flavour and finish.
