Description: For years now, Chinese tea makers have been producing Japanese-style teas in their own tea-growing territories. This traditional Japanese Genmaicha tea is made of traditionally prepared sencha leaf with added, lightly toasted brown rice. The liquor is an attractive pale leaf-green and the nose is fragrant with notes of sweet grass.
Tasting Notes: The cup is smooth with a linger of soft, savoury kelp. The rice adds a gentle, malted finish.
Brewing Instructions: 2g per cup; 90-95ºC water; steep 5 minutes and re-steep once or twice.
