Along with tea, the local populations are organically growing crops of oranges, cardamom, flowers and vegetables. Risheehat is a Certified Organic and Fair-trade Estate. The liquor is olive-gold and the loose leaves are aromatic. The steep is full-mouthed with clear, soft textures. The nose is earthy, slightly reminiscent of holy basil. Floral and honeydew melon notes combine with hints of malt. There is a smooth, richness that gives this tea a balanced profile. This Darjeeling stays just shy of a biting astringency.
