Origin: Fujian province, China
Description: Harvested in early Spring, ‘Bai Hao Yin Zhen’ is a unique tea comprised of only the very plump buds from the tea plant. The tea plants in this growing region have larger leaves and are prized for the white downy hair on the fresh buds. One kilo of ‘Bai Hao Yin Zhen’ contains approximately 22,000 buds. The plants are shade-covered prior to harvest and air-dried in the shade to complete the mild oxidation. The final result is a delicately aromatic liquor and subtle notes of fruit and sweet grass on the palate.
Tasting Notes: A soft and delicate tea, with grassy, sweet notes and fresh fruity linger.
Brewing Instructions: 2g per cup; 85ºC water; steep 3-5 minutes.
