CAFÉ OF THE WEEK : True Grain

CAFÉ OF THE WEEK : True Grain
With their first location opened in the Cowichan Bay in 2002, (with their Summerland location opened in 2012, and their Courtney location opened in 2017), True Grain has become an established community maker, baker and purveyor of hand-crafted, organic bread and pastries made exclusively with 100% BC-grown grains. This includes ancient grains and heritage wheat, all of which are stone milled without any additives or bleaching processes to be sold or used in their bakeries. This focus on sustainability, slow-food, and community is at the heart of all they do.
This also applies to their café, where you can enjoy a locally-blended Westholme tea or tisane with your goodies, no matter the season, as well as coffee and seasonal drinks!
For those of us that failed miserably at the global sour-dough starter lockdown baking craze, never fear. Head on over for fresh bread and goodies with a newfound appreciation for all that these amazing bakers do.
