This Limited Harvest Ti Kwan Yin Oolong gets its name from a Chinese legend that monkeys were once trained to pick the highest quality leaves from the tops of the tall, wild tea trees in tea forests of the Wuyi Mountains in Fujian Province. The steep is sweet, toasty and fresh at the same time. A hint of citrus blends with mild mineral notes and a light buttery quality.

Our endeavor has always been to connect people with high quality tea experiences. We are thrilled to have created more space to dedicate ourselves to this endeavour.

We welcome you to visit our Teashop to explore our diverse offerings of Teas of the World, our unique artisanal Westholme Blends, and how we grow the love of tea through our Canadian Tea Garden.

We aim to make excellent tea experiences more accessible, everyday. We are excited to provide a way to bring past Tearoom experiences to your own homes, backyards, and even the backcountry through our curated giftsets, teaware, ceramics, books, and of course our teas + tisanes.

You can order through our Online Store, or by calling 250.748.3811.

As always, we invite you to visit our Teashop + Gallery. We are open Wednesday to Sunday 11am-4pm

Gallery Exhibitions

During July - December 2021 the little Gallery at Westholme is becoming home to a series of pop-up art exhibitions. We will be featuring some very talented local artists working in a variety of mediums.

The Westholme Teashop + Gallery lives in what used to be an old dairy barn. The gallery displays co-owner Margit Nellemann's unique and eclectic ceramic creations. We are so thrilled to be sharing the Gallery space as we have in the past and love seeing all the creations on display!

Exhibition III is currently available for viewing between September 29th and October 17th during regular Teashop hours, featuring the works of weaver Francine McCabe.

We look forward to welcoming you in the Gallery. For those unable to visit us, please send us an e-mail to if you would like to view available pieces. We are able to ship at the end of each Exhibition.

Autumn in the Westholme Tea Garden

With return of the morning mists to the Westholme Valley, the harvest season for tea is slowing. The tea plants begin to prepare for winter they set buds, preparing for their annual show of flowers.

Westholme is the first commercial organic tea (the Camellia sinensis) grower in Canada.

The distinct character – terroir – of our organically grown tea is shaped by the environmental elements of Westholme, in the heart of BC's Cowichan Valley.

More than 10 years of seasonal cycles have developed our Westholme tea garden. Tea making innovation and old-world tradition come together in our collection of home-grown teas from the Cowichan Valley.

We have limited quantities of Heron's Wake, Quail's Plume and Maple Smoked Green.

Experience our 2021 Harvest.

Unique Imported Tea + Tisane Blends

Westholme offers a wide and ever expanding variety of artisanal, organic tea and tisane blends. All recipes for these blends are created by co-owner Margit Nellemann, and are carefully blended by hand in-house.

The teas we use in these blends are carefully sourced from small-scale organic tea farms and estates worldwide. Since Westholme's beginning, we have worked to build long-lasting and reliable relationships with professional tea connoisseurs, sourcers, and tea estates around the world. The pure teas we import are the finest we can find. These fine, flavourful teas are then blended with organic herbs, spices and zests to create something new.

We know it can be difficult to find pure and honest teas and tisanes. That is why we never use any synthetic or artificial flavourings in our teas. No 'natural' unmarked additives, colourants, perfumes or sweeteners will ever be found in any of our teas. We believe in creating recipes to showcase what nature has to offer.
