New + Limited Edition Release of 2022 Canadian Tea

A note from Victor: As a self taught tea grower + maker, my journey to make a black tea has been my most challenging endeavour. Meeting expectations of what a black tea should be and my interest in creating something different has been the creative dynamic I have been pursuing.

I set out using this summer harvest's finest tippy leaf buds and first two leaves to make a black tea reflective of the season and of the terroir. Hand rolled and left to oxidize for three days, the leaves develop their flavour profile slowly and gracefully.

I am very happy with how this very small batch (only 300g was produced) turned out. First steep has a bit of a haze in the liquor reflective of the hot summer. Second and subsequent steeps clear to a deeper richer full mouth cup than lingers on the palate and does surprise.
