Tea Advent(ure) Day 4: Green Dragon
The famous Long Jing Dragonwell green tea for this lively blend. The tea leaves are pan roasted very soon after harvest to halt the oxidation process and preserve the fresh-plucked colour of the leaves. Part of the tea’s transformation involves hand-pressing the leaves against the pan, giving the tea its characteristic flat appearance. This tea provides a naturally sweet beginning that grows in vegetal, toasty grass notes and pairs with calendula flowers and ginger root, carrying the subtle spiciness and vitality of both. Refreshing and warm, with a slight dragon bite.
