TEA OF THE WEEK :: MOROCCO

TEA OF THE WEEK :: MOROCCO

Blended in Westholme combining a traditional green Gunpowder tea with West Coast Peppermint.

Tea was introduced to Morocco by the British and the Dutch in the eighteenth century. Initially the beverage was reserved for the wealthy upper classes, but by the nineteenth century the consumption of the drink had expanded to reach the palates of even the country’s poorest. Today, most people in Morocco consume tea several times a day. Offering tea to guests is an important symbol of Moroccan hospitality - this North African country is now the largest importer of Chinese green tea in the world. Our Morocco blend is a classic mix of green gunpowder tea and peppermint.

A fabulously refreshing afternoon tea. The flavour is bold and revitalizing. Enjoy hot or cold.
