Holiday Spice Mulled Cider

Non-alcoholic

Ingredients

4 cups apple cider

1 thinly sliced orange

2 teaspoons Pure Spice, or to taste

Holiday Spice Mulled Wine

Contains alcohol

Ingredients

1 bottle (750ml) dry red wine

1 thinly sliced orange, peeled

2 teaspoons Pure Spice, or to taste

Cinnamon sticks, for garnish

Honey or sugar to taste

Method

Place all ingredients on a pot on the stove over medium heat. Bring to a light simmer. Stir and allow to cook 5 - 10 minutes. Reduce heat to low and cover, cooking until spices have released their flavours, 10-20 minutes. Taste, and add more pure spice if desired. As this is a herbal tisane, it will not make the cider astringent with long steeping times. Pour into your cup of choice, garnish, pour + enjoy!

We love the versatility of this tisane ::

Here are a few other recipe ideas to incorporate a little more Holiday Spice into your festivities this season!

GINGER ROOT, CARDAMOM, CINNAMON, BLACK PEPPER, CLOVES

Created and hand blended at Westholme this
mélange of traditional Indian Masala spices packed with flavour and a gentle peppery bite. Also excellent to add to a spiced soup or a curry.

Tasting Notes: Complex peppery flavours are rooted in earthy tones of clove and ginger. Cardamom and cinnamon weave natural sweetness into each sip.

Brewing Instructions: Add 2 grams of Holiday Spice per cup, pour 100ºC water over herbal blend and steep for 3-5 minutes.
