About Well Clay ::
Well Clay designs and produces ceramics in Qualicum Beach, BC.
The creative studio was founded in 2020 by Kelsey Bullen. Prior to working with clay, Kelsey studied and worked as an accountant for over a decade. Kelsey’s work is a celebration of timelessness, functionality, and craftsmanship.
Well Clay is inspired by the idea that objects used in our daily lives contribute to our sense of ease and wellbeing.
Well Clay ceramics are handcrafted in small batches using thoughtful production methods. Kelsey creates a wide range of forms, including drinking vessels, dinnerware, and homewares. Special care is taken to source materials as locally as possible, including using only clay produced in Canada. Kelsey is particularly interested in the foundation of ceramic arts – chemistry!
Well Clay ceramics are made slowly, with intention, and a focus on quality.
Each glaze is designed and formulated in-house, making Well Clay ceramics truly unique.
