HAIRY CRAB OOLONG - MAO XIE
Style: Oolong
Origin: Fujian Province, China
Description: Mao Xie is produced in Fujian Province, and has made the region famous for its wonderful oolong tea along with the popular Ti Kwan Yin Oolong. Hairy Crab got its name from the tiny downy hairs found underneath the delicate, fine tea leaves. Mao Xie is a lightly oxidised oolong offering an incredible freshness.
Tasting Notes: The aroma is incredibly smooth, evoking images of humid rainforests and fresh dew on a warm spring morning. The cup is full-mouthed, with a lovely roundness to accompany the floral and naturally sweet palate. The linger carries a gentle flavour of misted grasses.
Brewing Instructions: 2g per cup. 90-95ºC water. steep 3 minutes. Re-steep.
