FAQ
WHAT IS A TEASHOP?
Westholme Tea Company has blossomed into a well-assorted Teashop featuring our own unique blended teas, alongside artisan processed teas from traditional tea growing regions the world over, as well as our limited harvest Canadian Collection of Westholme farm grown teas. We offer sample cups of our freshly steeped Tea of the Day as you shop, over 150+ teas and tisanes to available to shop in tins and bags and teapots, teawares and tea tools. We have a busy online Teashop chapter, a tea garden with several hundred healthy camellia sinensis (tea plants), a little gallery in the converted barn showcasing local artisans and tea gifts and a growing wholesale division spanning across Canada.
WHEN ARE YOU OPEN?
The Westholme Teashop is open from 10am - 4pm PST from Thursdays to Sundays every week with closures landing on Statutory Holidays.
WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
You can find us at 8350 Richards Trail, North Cowichan, BC. We are also grateful to share our extensive list of stockist locations from cafes to fine dining, boutique retail shops to spas. Discover our stockist map here.
DO YOU SERVE TEA?
While we do not offer tea service, we always have a fresh steep of a rotating Tea of the Day prepared and ready to serve in reusable sample cups at the front counter. Our team will always welcome you with a Tea of the Day offer complimentary to your visit as you shop.
DO YOU OFFER TIN RE-FILLS?
CAN I RE-USE YOUR LOOSE LEAF TEA VESSELS?
So, you’ve finished tasting your tea or tisane …
We want you to know that all of the tins, bulk bags, and trial pouches are recyclable. However, we encourage you to peel off the labels and reuse the tins and bags! They are excellent for storing and organizing many different items from jewellery, to crafting materials, to nuts and bolts, to kitchen spices, or as container to re-gift. You can also use them as your daily loose-leaf travel tins to bring tea with you into the world. Please note: If storing food items in the tins, such as tea or spices, be sure that they are completely dry. We suggest simply wiping the tins with a clean, dry cloth or paper towel instead of washing, as water can get trapped in the seams, which may rust the containers. Happy re-using and let us know if you have any questions!
DO YOU OFFER TEA EXPERIENCES?
We host seasonal Tea Garden Tours from March to September on specific Thursdays and Sundays. All tours must be reserved online in advance. If you have any questions regarding tours, visit this page or contact us at hello@westholmetea.com
DO YOU OFFER WHOLESALE?
Yes! We are always open to learning more about your business and what you might be interested in offering as a curated tea program from us. We require this application to be filled out prior to proceeding and accessing our wholesale portal. Email wholesale@westholmetea.com if you have any questions.
WHAT TEAS DO YOU OFFER?
We carry imported organic estate teas, in-house, small batch blended teas and tisanes and our Canadian Tea Collection of farm grown teas. Our teas + tisanes will never have synthetic essences, flavourings or chemicals of any kind. We pride ourselves on the quality of our products and will never compromise what we do.
DO YOU GROW ANYTHING OTHER THAN TEA?
We do not, but we do grow and harvest from our 800+ camellia sinensis (tea) plants here on the Westholme property.
