Bancha (second flush) leaf was initially combined with twigs and stems for the sake of frugality during difficult times. This composition, however, is what gave Kukicha a unique flavour and aroma that have made it popular and well-loved in Japan and internationally.

This kukicha has a combination of sweet, green summer grasses and freshly sliced fruit reminiscent of apricot and pear to its scent. This delicate flavour translates to the cup, which is gentle but full-mouthed, and refreshing.
