First Flush Heron's Wake ::

The Heron stands, stoic and silent, in the marshy fields below our tea garden. The elegant majesty of its presence commands the attention of those watching as it takes flight - we hold our breath as it ascends. It leaves behind a gentle wake that ripples through the marshes.

'I am truly excited about this years harvest. Extra rains as the garden was flushing out has added wonderfully to the terroir of the tea. I waited 8 years before I like the Heron's Wake enough to share it, and now I'm confident you will enjoy this flush as one of the finest I have made' - Victor V.

Delight in rich notes of toasted hazelnut and hints of ground cacao as they combine to form a satisfying full mouth finish. A woody, almost spiced aroma mingles with the deep smell of sweet earthy leaves. Steeps to a beautiful red-gold.

For the most rounded cup of Heron's Wake, we recommend using 2.5 grams of loose leaf tea per cup. Use 100°C water (full boil) and pour gently over the leaves. Steep for 3 minutes, or depending on your taste. The low astringency of this tea will allow you to steep longer if you wish, and we encourage re-steeping to experience different aspects of the flavour profile.

This tea is the first tea we pluck in the early Summer. Due to the limited harvesting time, this tea is quite rare.
