Chinese Zodiac Tea of the Lunar New Year
The Chinese Zodiac is based on an ancient calendar system and assigns 12 animals to represent one year within a repeating 12 year cycle. In Chinese culture, the zodiac signs play an integral part in determining one's fortune. It is also believed that people will possess characteristics of the zodiac animal corresponding to the year they were born. On February 16, 2026, we will transition out of the year of the Wood Snake representing grace, transformation and wisdom, and shed our skin to lend space for the year of the Fire Horse beginning on February 17th, 2026.
The Horse is known for its energetic and dynamic nature, symbolizing vitality and perseverance. Fire, amongst the five elements of the Chinese Zodiac, represents creativity, persistence, passion and kinetic energy. As we peer into the year of the Fire Horse, we can expect our hard work and self developments to bring optimism and opportunity into our lives with characteristics of passion, creation and intensity.
