Festive Tisane of the Month, Holiday Spice

Festive Tisane of the Month, Holiday Spice

Tis the season ::

December has arrived and the Teashop is filled with spiced aromas of cardamom, cinnamon, and cloves! Giving a warm welcome to our favourite Westholme holiday herbal as our December Tisane of the Month, Holiday Spice.

Because this time of year tends to be filled with plans and gatherings, we look to this soothing herbal (that is naturally caffeine free of course), to fill our cups and provide comfort through the full and busy days of December!

A mélange of traditional Indian spices packed with flavour and a gentle bite of pepper, this versatile tisane can be steeped and enjoyed as-is, or cooked with milk (or a milk alternative), to create an excellent herbal chai. Add honey or a touch of pure maple syrup to taste. This blend can also be used as a mulling spice to add a little depth and interest to your cider or wine during the cooler months. Also excellent for use as an infusion to add to a spiced soup or a curry.

Complex peppery flavours are rooted in earthy tones of clove and ginger. Cardamom and cinnamon weave natural sweetness into each sip.

For the most flavourful mug of Holiday Spice, we recommend using 2g of this herbal blend per cup. Boil your kettle to 100ºC and pour over. Allow 3-5 minutes to steep. Can be re-steeped two or three times.
