The Significance of Jasmine tea

The Significance of Jasmine tea

Fujian Province is home to China’s finest jasmine teas.

The green tea destined to become jasmine tea is harvested early spring, then processed and stored until summer arrives and the jasmine vines start to blossom. Jasmine Golden Dragon combines a delicate, smooth green tea with the perfect amount of jasmine for a well-balanced cup. This tea is soft in its steep, yet flavourful, resulting in an elegant cup with an attractive lingering bouquet and a gentle astringency.

A fine balance between the bouquet offered by the jasmine blossom and the grassy, fresh notes of green tea. Flavourful and soft on the palate, especially with a shorter steep time. A gentle, astringent build finishes with lingering floral freshness.

In China, Jasmine tea is culturally important and is often served as a sign of hospitality.

The delicate jasmine fragrance emanates warmth and welcome, making it a common tea to share in ceremonies and gatherings. Jasmine green teas offer a lovely sensory experience and a glimpse into traditional tea practices that have been around for centuries.
