Description: Pu-erh is a fermented tea produced in Yunnan Province. It is the only tea that uses microbial fermentation to process and oxidize the leaves. This ripe pu-erh uses a larger leaf style of organically cultivated tea pure assamica varietal tea bushes growing at an altitude 1300-1350m on summit of Ma Wei Mountain (west of Pu'Er City). Harvested in April 2020, and wet piled in the summer of 2020.
Tasting Notes: The aroma is warm like a fresh-baked, leavened loaf. The taste is of mild mushrooms and fresh earth after a rain storm. The texture is soupy but clean. There is a surprising sweetness to the finish. The tea steeps to a dark rich brown, almost with almost a ruby-purple tinge. The tea does not become astringent during long steep times - just stronger.
Brewing Instructions: 2-3g leaf. Einse with 100ºC water for 5-10 seconds and pour off. Use 100ºC water. Steep 3-5 minutes.
