In the meantime, read below to learn about our 2023 Music in the Tea Garden series.

We are looking forward to welcoming community to join us for an afternoon of Music in the Westholme Tea Garden from 1:30-3:30pm on July 30th and August 20th 2023.

Come enjoy the peaceful natural setting of our terraced tea slopes, plus a live band… while sipping delicious teas + tisanes.

Features:
- Casual festival style seating- all seating is first come first served
- Two hours of live jazz music : Phil Newns, vocals and keyboard. KC Izard, vocals. John Robertson, double bass.
- Endless iced + hot teas
- Small sweet + savory tasters to nibble while you sip

Space is limited, and must be booked in advance!

Remember, you’re on island time : leave time to kick back, relax, and savour the moment steeped in nature.

All Music in the Tea Garden guests will receive 10% savings on our Tea Collection in the Teashop during their visit.

Please note:
  • Tickets must be pre-booked.
  • We will not be providing table service - this is a causal, festive gathering for all to experience Music in the Tea Garden at Westholme
  • Each individual guest must have pre-booked their spot. Seating is not guaranteed for all guests. Seating will be first come first served, and cannot be reserved. See next point for exceptions.
  • Please alert us in advance if you have any accessibility needs and/or require certain accommodations that requires specific seating.
  • This experience is not suitable for children under the age of 10, or those who are unable to stay engaged + participate for the full duration of the event. Children are considered guests, and must have secured a ticket for their seat. The Westholme property is an active farm, and children must be supervised at all times to ensure their safety. 
  • Please wear appropriate attire for sitting outdoors in whatever weather.
  • Once booked, you will be sent an e-mail noting further details the week of the event.

    In the event of a cancellation the following applies:

      • For cancellations greater than 72 hours in advance we can issue a online credit for the full amount to be used towards future purchases.
      • For cancellations less than 72 hours in advance we can provide an online credit less a 15% fee.

    :: MORE ABOUT THE MUSICIANS ::

    [ KC IZARD ] has been performing since the age of 5, first with the COLT 49’ Country Band, and now regularly with the “Hot Velvet Jazz Band”. She is an engaging entertainer with a passion for performing all styles of music including jazz. While attending Brentwood College, KC was the leader of the multi award winning Vocal Jazz Ensemble – “Tonic Fusion”.

     

    [ PHIL NEWNS ] is well known as a pianist, vocalist, bandleader and educator. In 1990, as Canadian Champion, Phil represented Canada in the Yamaha International Electone Festival held in Mexico City that year, placing 6th in the world. As Head of Music at Brentwood College School he has directed over 40 major theatrical productions, most recently Mamma Mia. Phil & KC love to play, and can be found performing every Saturday night at the Masthead Restaurant in Cow Bay.


    [ J. ROBERTSON ] plays electric bass and double bass in wide assortment of local bands - from Jazz to Rock & Roll.





    The tradition of tea is closely tied to place – the region, the mountain, the slope. In 2010 we began planting our own tea to take advantage of the unique terroir of our home. This is the very first Canadian estate-grown tea in the world – an authentic expression of the land, soil, and climate of our farm.
